The Asus Eee PC 1201N features the dual-core Intel Atom 330 processor
The Asus 12 inch comparison – we’re comparing Asus’s new crop of 12 inch netbooks including the 1201HA, 1201N (sporting the Nvidia Ion graphics chip) and the 1201T (with ATI Radeon graphics inside).
Asus continue to release larger netbooks, keeping up with other manufacturers such as Samsung, who have had the NC20 out for a long time and Lenovo, whose S12 has also been more recently upgraded to include Nvidia’s Ion graphics capability to become the S12 Ion.
Whilst Asus are famous for releasing lots of netbooks with very similar product names and almost an imperceptible difference in specification, with the 1201 series there are much more obvious signs of individuality. Yes, each has a 12.1inch screen with a decent 1366 x 768 resolution. And yes, each has 2Gb RAM, 250Gb hard disks and is running Windows 7 Home Premium.
The major differences come from the processor, where we are used to practically every netbook having the same CPU inside, and in the graphics department, another area where all netbooks used to contain the same integrated graphics capability.
Some of the details on the Asus Eee PC 1201T are a little sketchy at present, as it is only available for sale in Germany at present. As soon as we get hold of the full specification we will be sure to add it in here.
The Asus 1201N netbook can be found in our netbook rankings and the other 1201s will join in shortly once enough reviews are released for the new models.
Let’s get on with the comparison, how do these fantastic Asus netbooks compare?

The 1201HA does have Bluetooth V2.1+EDR in some versions. The asus website isnt quite clear on whether only the EDR is optional.
