The Samsung N220 netbook has a huge 11 hour battery life

The mother of all Samsung comparisons – their current N130 base model, the slightly more premium N140 netbook plus two brand new pine-trail equipped netbooks in the Samsung N150 and Samsung N220.

Each of these Sammy netbooks has 10 inch screens, Atom processors and 1Gb RAM, like a lot of netbooks. But, there are some differences across the range, there is a bigger hard drive in one, Windows 7 is now featuring, two of them are sporting new Atom processors and one has a positively huge battery life. Of course there are price differences too.

Each of the Samsung netbooks will be added to our netbook rankings shortly so watch out for where they place. The pine-trail netbooks have not even garnered enough reviews yet to get one of our prestigious ratings.

Let’s get on with the comparison, how do these 4 superb Samsung netbooks compare?

Hi can you add to the list things like VGA and HDMI connections, docking units ect.

Very good reports and well layed out.

    I have a samsung N110 and a Toshiba N200.

Samsung is my main travel tool at present and has replaced
my SONY R600 unit, that has seen a lot of travel and hard
times, was even dropped down a flight of stairs and lived to tell the tale.

Prices on operating systems would also be nice to have.

Im a a uk/brit, but at present living in china.

    And travel the world alot.

If I can help, then let me know.

My samsung was pruchased in Kuala Lumpur.

      Hello Bob,

Just to let you know that I’ve updated this post to include VGA and HDMI connections for each netbook model and will include that information for each comparison that I do from now on.

Hope that helps and let me know if you need anything else.

      Thanks,

      Tom

    Hello Bob,

Thank you for your comments and glad you like the reports.

I certainly can add a few more details on ports, especially as HDMI are becoming more popular now with netbooks having better graphics capabilities. Will also look into providing more details on operating systems in the future.

I’ll post back once I’ve made some updates.

    Kind regards,

    Tom

A comparison of keyboards would be helpful, and quality of the trackpad and buttons – these vary by machine and make a huge subjective differences, esp if a touch typist. I know this is an old article, looking forward to an update. Keep up the good work!
